Meta Strick, Art Doll Artist

I had the pleasure of meeting and purchasing several Art Dolls from the very talented Vermont artist, Meta Strick.
Meta was born in Ohio, and studying art at the Cleveland Art Institute, was accepted at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh where she majored and graduated with a degree in Fine Art.
Her path led to rural Vermont where she has lived for over 30 years. The woods, quiet solitude and verdant landscape became her muse.
She creates mixed media canvases, polymer jewelry and whimsical Art Dolls. Her wooden dolls are sculpted from wood blocks, adorned with paint, found objects and calligraphy quotations, designed to inspire and delight
the viewer.
